Abstract
This article analyzes the historical evolution of the advancement and promotion of fair trade. The study uses a descriptive methodology of the actors in the value chain, both national and international. The objective is to define and identify the role of social and solidarity economy and fair trade in the development of peasant family economy in Colombia, which is present in the <em>Final agreement for the end of the conflict and the construction of a stable and long-lasting peace</em>. The study proposes synergies between actors to design new public-private partnerships, considering the results of the historical analysis of the evolution of fair trade certifications and international trends in public policies since 1964.
