Experiences in management of production systems of social interest: The case of Corpoc and Furmos foundation

Abstract

The theories of human development from human capabilities have, as theoretical references, the competencies of affiliation, achievement and power, as well as the analysis of business management. This article aims to compare experiences of productive systems of social interest from an analysis of the particular cases of the Furmos and Corpoc companies. The starting point was a previous project conducted in Corpoc; information was gathered through interviews and work sessions, and the institutions were characterized. It was found that the Corpoc management model is flat associative with a single leader and the Furmos model is a strategic associative partnership management model. Their members depend on the leader with their motivations and achievements, and their projects do not have a management model. Therefore, the lack of a suitable formulation of management models prevents the continuity and success of social production projects in the two institutions.
