A post keynesian view of public spending

Abstract

In general terms, contemporary economic theory shows three thinking lines to study phenomena and performance of macroeconomics variables. Attempts to explain and predict have been polarized around three different «models», antagonist schools and alternative trends, most of them, framed in the neoclassic school, post Keyriesian school, and neoclassical syn thesis, with their traditional monetary and tax trends. This paper tries to find the post Keynesian school's position regarding fiscal variables, having in mind the essence of the model and implicati on s in relation to the rest of macroeconomic variables and their possible benefits when applying a view different from the orthodox one.
