Impacto social de un proyecto agroecológico en dos municipios de Ricaurte, Boyacá (Colombia)

Abstract

The social evaluation of the impacts of agroecological projects is an important way to improve the sustainability and social resilience
of agroecosystems. The objective of the research was to assess the social impacts of the Boyacá-Agro project in two municipalities
of upper and lower Ricaurte in the Department of Boyacá. A 10-question questionnaire was applied to the fifteen beneficiaries of each farm per municipality to measure the impact in four dimensions: knowledge management, technology, farm management, family and community management, and farmer leadership. The vast majority of beneficiaries (more than 55%) believed that the impacts were high or very high in knowledge management, the adoption of new technologies, the improvement of families and farms, and the growth of heads of farms as agroecological leaders, however, this was not the case in terms of recognition before the community.
