Abstract
The globalization phenomenon has revolutionized the present economy and proposes difficult challenges to obtain advantages in its participation. The objective of this work is to analyze this phenomenon, examining its implications on the poverty, environmentand human resources exploitation and its effects on management of the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), particularly those located in Latin America. Finally, some strategies are presented to face this process.
