Characterization and Conditions of the Internationalization Process of Companies in the Plastic Products Manufacturing Subsector in Bogota

Abstract

This paper proposes a qualitative research by conducting surveys in 30 companies from the plastic products manufacturing subsector, based on theories of internationalization. It aims to find the main determinants of internationalization of these companies, while characterizing and analyzing evidence by contrasting practice and theory, in order to explain how the dynamics in the sector and its current state are and to propose recommendations for greater competitiveness and efficiency in foreign trade.
