Work-family interaction in the current world of labor

Abstract

This article aims to discuss, based on conceptualizations and empirical research, some key aspects to understand the dynamics of interaction between the public (work) and private (family) spheres of workers, which have an increasingly diffuse border in the current world of labor. This situation is driven by information and communications technologies and by conditions of flexibility in labor relations. Thus, the work-family relationship is today a key research topic for theorists and researchers of organizational and work psychology and organizational management, as well as an important subject for intervention by business leaders and human resources personnel.
