Abstract
Multilateral banking is a mechanism that seeks to promote state productivity and competitiveness, as well as to highlight their role as protagonists in cooperation for integral development. The beneficiaries of the financing granted by multilateral banks must promote management tools for the benefit of civil society through the design and construction of infrastructure and associated services. Given this, public-private partnerships (PPPs) appear as an alternative to strengthen and support state management based on the knowledge and expertise of the private sector. Using a descriptive analysis of documentary information, the paper sought to recognize how multilateral banking has influenced the development of PPPs in Colombia. The results not only allow recognizing the realities of PPPs in Colombia, but also demonstrating the impact of multilateral banking on their management and improvement for the benefit of society.
